Preventing Wildfire with Four Legs

‘Fighting fire with four legs’ is the motto of Shepherdess Land & Livestock Co., a contract grazing services company based in Upper Ojai, using goats and sheep for sustainable vegetation management. They use comprehensive land stewardship practices, and holistic prescribed grazing methods for fire fuel load reduction, invasive species management, and ecosystem health enhancement.
